I've stated before that I consider Wedgwood basaltware to be the little black dress of the butler's pantry. It's super tradish, so it has applications in those settings. But I could also imagine it on a more modern table.
You might have noticed a recent change in this blog - I have slightly changed my direction. As many of you know, my original intent was to focus more on entertaining.
However, I found that I wanted to also post quite a bit about photography, Southern decorative arts, design, architecture, entertaining, fashion and antiques (all things of beauty to me), so I renamed myself and am offering my thoughts and finds.
And as a native of Mississippi and resident of Tennessee, many or most posts will have a Southern thread running through them.
Thanks and I hope you will enjoy. Post messages often!
